Today Gossip column: Ramsey, Toure, Schweinsteiger, Lamela, Alves

Manchester City, United on alert as Dani Alves fails to agree new Barcelona deal?
The summer transfer window is still a couple of months away.
But the big wheels of industry never stop turning, meaning there are always plenty of rumours and half-truths doing the rounds.
It seems likely that plenty of teams will be in the market this summer. Manchester United continue to rebuild under Louis van Gaal, Arsenal might need an actual defensive midfielder (at last!), while Manchester City are never too far from a deal.
Here are the latest transfer bits and pieces from the Daily Mirror and today's newspapers:

Juve want Lamela

Juventus are ready to test Mauricio Pochettino's willingness to persevere with Erik Lamela.
Tottenham's £30million record signing is a target for the Champions League finalists and Spurs have so far been willing to listen to offers after two disappointing seasons.
Atletico Madrid and Inter Milan are also keen on the 23-year-old former Roma playmaker.
But boss Pochettino is understood to have told chairman Daniel Levy that he wants Lamela to survive this summer's cull.
Franco Baldini, on whose advice Lamela was signed, is set to leave White Hart Lane this summer.
But Argentinian Lamela could outlast him if Tottenham decide the offers do not represent a return on their huge investment investment.

Barcelona plan to make a £50m-plus bid for 24-year-old Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey in the summer despite their transfer embargo

Manchester United are ready to exploit Bastian Schweinsteiger's contract stand-off with Bayern Munich by making a move for the 30-year-old Germany midfielder.

Inter Milan believe they are closing in on a deal for Yaya Toure, although Manchester City have yet to receive an offer for the 32-year-old midfielder.

Italian champions Juventus are considering a £25m bid for Tottenham's 23-year-old forward Erik Lamela

Liverpool are willing to listen to offers for midfielder Lucas Leiva, 28, who has been linked with Inter Milan, because England international James Milner, 29, is on his way from Manchester City as a free agen

Striker Emmanuel Adebayor, 31, could have played his last game for Tottenham after being given compassionate leave for the second time this season

Brazil defender Dani Alves, 32, is set to leave Barcelona at the end of the season after failing to agree a new contract with the Spanish club.
