United table Ramos bid
Manchester United have bid £30million for Sergio Ramos.
Ramos, who has become disillusioned with life at the Bernabeu, has asked Real officials to consider the offer and open talks with United.
United have been sufficiently encouraged by dialogue with Ramos and his representatives to make the formal offer for the 29-year-old.
Senior United figures believe they can capitalise on the contract dispute between Ramos and Real, and provide an escape route for the centre-back, capped 128 times by Spain.
United’s initial offer is understood to be independent of any deal involving their goalkeeper David De Gea, whom Real want and who wants to leave for them.
Having seen Liverpool sign Roberto Firmino, Manchester United are hoping to boost their own attacking ranks in the coming days... but they could face a battle with the Anfield club over Sevilla striker Carlos Bacca.
United are also chasing Sergio Ramos. That could have a knock-on effect on Arsenal, with Real Madrid reportedly keen on a swoop for Arsenal centre-back Laurent Koscielny.
Elsewhere, Southampton's Morgan Schneiderlin says he could be on the move 'within days', Oscar could be used as bait as Chelsea try to nab Paul Pogba, but Angel Di Maria says he is going nowhere this summer.
