CONFIRMED: Diego Costa WILL miss three games for Chelsea after FA charge upheld

DIEGO COSTA will miss Chelsea's next three games after the FA banned the striker for stamping on Liverpool's Emre Can.

The Brazil-born striker caught his opponent during the Capital One Cup semi final second leg at Stamford Bridge Tuesday and has been retrospectively punished by the FA.
It means Costa is unavailable for the blues' crunch clash with Manchester City tomorrow evening.

Costa was charged on Wednesday but Chelsea quickly appealed the decision.
However, The FA decided the Blues did not have a case and Costa will now have to watch Chelsea's games against City, Aston Villa and Everton from the sidelines.
The FA said: "Diego Costa will serve a three-match suspension with immediate effect after a charge of violent conduct against him was found proven by an Independent Regulatory Commission on Friday 30 January 2015.
