Cristiano Ronaldo will not return to Manchester United, according to Portuguese forward's agent who adds that he would cost his former club at least £300 million
Cristiano Ronaldo will not return to Old Trafford anytime soon, according to the Portuguese forward's agent Jorges Mendes who claimed that the player would command a transfer fee of at least £300 million.
Ronaldo, who joined Real
Madrid from Manchester
United for a world-record fee of £80m in 2009, was linked with a
return to Old Trafford last year, but Mendes said "he will not leave
Real Madrid".
"If for any reason the club decide to sell him tomorrow for £300
million, someone will pay," Mendes said in an interview with BBC
Sport.
After winning his second Ballon d'Or award last month, Mendes claimed his
client is greatest sportsman in history.
"He is the best player ever in the world. He is the best sportsman ever
so you cannot compare because it is impossible to find someone like him."
