Sport understands sources within the club have cancelled the planned meeting after comments made by his representative Aidy Ward, outlining their agenda for the meeting.
The England star's future at Anfield is in major doubt, but the Reds remain bullish about their chances of keeping him for the remaining two years on his current deal.
Premier League rivals Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City have all been linked with a move for Sterling.
However, Liverpool insist they won't let Sterling leave, despite claims from Ward that the former QPR youngster would reject a £900,000-a-week contract on Merseyside.
How important is Raheem to Liverpool
Raheem Sterling's Liverpool future is up in the air - but he says it isn't about the money.
The England starlet has two years left on his contract at Anfield, but negotiations over a new deal have reached an impasse. His current £35,000-a-week deal - inked two years ago - continues to be in play, despite Liverpool's want to hand the 20-year-old a new £100,000-a-week deal.
Sterling has rejected that offer, while declaring that he doesn't "want to be seen as money-grabbing" and intimating that he would have taken a lesser deal earlier - had it been offered. He's also told Brendan Rodgers that he wants to leave the club.
The youngster, has questioned the club and whether it is the right place for him to develop. Whether he would be better off elsewhere, challenging for trophies and looking to be in the Champions League every year.
