Manchester United's Angel Di Maria RULES OUT transfer to Barcelona or Bayern Munich

Manchester United's Wayne Rooney celebrates scoring their first goal with Angel Di Maria

British football's record signing plans to stay but wants more game time PLUS: One of Sergio Ramos' representatives expects him to leave Real Madrid
Angel Di Maria has vowed to snub interest from Bayern Munich and Barcelona this summer - but warned Manchester United: ‘I want to play.’
German giants Bayern have targeted the winger signed last summer for a British record £59.7million as part of any deal for United target Bastian Schweinsteigerwhile Barca are also keen, despite being under a transfer embargo until January.
But Di Maria, who found himself out of Louis van Gaal’s side last season after struggling for form, insisted he is not leaving.
Former Real Madrid winger Di Maria said: “No, I’m not thinking like that.
“In Madrid, there were times when I was whistled around the stadium but faced it and then it turned around. I like to deal with things.
I started well, with goals and assists. I was having a good time, until I was out. It’s a little hard to explain why I do not play.”
United have already issued a hands-off warning to both clubs, warning them Di Maria is not for sale, despite a tough first season at Old Trafford.
The only way United will consider the Argentina star, currently on international duty at the Copa America, is if he tells the Reds that he wants to leave.
Although Di Maria insists that is not the case, he has admitted to being unhappy at not being in the team.
He added: “I started in one position. I returned to the middle, then on the left. But then with Argentina I was in one place and then another. I just want to play.
“Yes. For me, and my family. Because not everything goes as I want, because I don’t play. Because I came with an intention and end up on the bench. It’s hard to tell how I feel there.”
