Manchester City are launching a £150million spending spree this summer as the club looks to provide Manuel Pellegrini with the quality he needs to challenge in Europe and domestically.
And the man it centres on is Liverpool's Raheem Sterling. After the Reds rejected an initial "sighter" offer of around £20million, City chiefs are ready to double their bid to £40million.
Paul Pogba, Kevin De Bruyne and Marseille's Giannelli Imbula are also on the list.
Barcelona chief advises Pogba to move to Nou Camp
Paul Pogba has been told to snub a move to Manchester City and join Barcelona instead.
The Premier League big guns have made a £58million approach for the Juventus ace.
However, Ariedo Braida, who fronts Barcelona's technical committee, reckons he should choose the Nou Camp.
He told Gazzetta TV: "Pogba could be a good reason to talk with [Juve's sporting director Giuseppe] Marotta.
"He has enough quality to play for any team in Europe and it's normal that everyone would want him. He's still a young lad, only 22 and he has exceptional qualities.
"I think he could play with us. If he had to choose, I think that Barça would be the club and the team with the project that interests him the most.
"I would advise him to come to Barcelona. He is an important player that I and the president [Josep Maria] Bartomeu like.
