The pair have both been linked with switches back to the Premier League over the past 12 months, with Manchester United an interested suitor.
Traditionally, Real have been one of the most dominant teams in the world transfer market - and Zidane insists that is still the case.
He told Shortlist magazine: "We sign the best players in the world, we don't sell them."
Both Ronaldo and Bale were linked with mega-money moves to Old Trafford in the summer, but the talk proved to be nothing more than speculation.
Zidane, who is currently in charge of Real's Castilla team, has doubted that Los Blancos would have ever have even considered selling Ronaldo.
He said: "Big players are what people want to read about, so that is why they are written about, but why would Real Madrid have any intention of selling the best player in the world? No he is not for sale, it wouldn't make sense."
Zidane also responded to speculation that Bale could be heading back to the Premier Leauge, but says that his future should not be speculated about.
He said: "Of course clubs are going to want Gareth, he is one of the best in the world, but I am not sure how much clearer we can be.
"Gareth has made it clear, his agent has made it clear, we have made it clear, his future is at Real Madrid."
