Manchester United ready to Sign Arjen Robben from Bayern Munich

The Bayern wide man is said to be unhappy at the German champions and could be set for a reunion with his former Holland boss
Manchester Untied are monitoring Arjen Robben’s growing discontent at Bayern Munich.
The Dutch winger, who proved he is now back to his best after being sidelined for two months by a torn stomach muscle by scoring twice in Holland’s 3-2 win over Wales in Cardiff on Friday night, is at war with Bayern striker Robert Lewandowski.
Lewandowski has made it clear that he prefers to play alongside Douglas Costa and Kingsley Coman because Robben is too selfish.
And Robben hasn’t reacted well to Lewandowski’s slight.
That has put United on red alert as they look to add a quality wideman to their squad in January.
Reds’ boss Louis van Gaal already has youngsters Memphis Depay and Jesse Lingard, while Adnan Januzaj is on loan at Borussia Dortmund.
But Van Gaal wants proven quality - and Robben fits the bill with a stellar career that has took him to Bayern via PSV Eindhoven, Chelsea and Real Madrid.
The pair also worked together when Van Gaal was Holland coach.
Robben will turn 32 in January, but he believes he can play at the very top for at least another three years.
And his ambition to bring the curtain down on his international career at the 2016 World Cup will also give United hope if they decide to firm up their interest.
He has made it clear to Bayern that he wants regular football and will not accept playing second fiddle behind Costa and Coman.
And Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has admitted that he is unable to do anything about Lewandowski’s criticisms because the Dutchman is too old to change his ways.
Robben was on the verge of joining United in 2004 after being given a tour of the club.
But the move stalled over PSV’s asking price and Chelsea sealed a deal for £12million.
