Matthaus: “Atlético are awkward to play against"

Bayern Munich legend Lothar Matthaus has spoken out over the German side’s Champions League semi-final draw.

Pep Guardiola’s men were paired with Atletico Madrid in the last four.

Two-time runner-up Matthaus said: “Atlético are awkward to play against and can be a huge threat. Defensively they are very compact and don’t concede many chances.
