Pep Guardiola is sorry for Cristiano Ronaldo as he wanted Benfica

Bayern Munich boss Pep Guardiola took an apparent shot at Cristiano Ronaldofollowing the German side's qualification for the Champions League semi-finals .

The 2-2 draw in Lisbon against Benfica saw the Bundesliga side triumph 3-2 on aggregate and join Real Madrid in Friday's draw for the last-four.
And the former Barcelona boss said that his old La Liga rival will be "sorry" to see his current side in the semi-finals.
"I know that Ronaldo wanted Benfica in the semis," said Guardiola.
"I'm sorry for him."
A potential Bayern -Real clash is one of a number of intriguing potential semi-final match-ups for Guardiola, with his next side Manchester City also in the hat for this week's draw.
"People don't know how difficult the Champions League is," continued the outgoing Bayern coach.
"We played with a big personality. We remained composed and cool in the head even after falling a goal behind. We played very well.
"Every team at this stage is very, very good. But reaching the semi-finals for a fifth time in a row is a big thing."
