Defender undergoing MEDICAL today before completing Man United move

MANCHESTER UNITED defender Marnick Vermijl is set to leave Old Trafford.

The 23-year-old is on the verge of signing for Belgian club Lokeren Oost-Vlaanderen after failing to break through at United.
Reports in Belgium suggest he is having a medical today before signing a long-term deal.
Vermijl signed for United in 2010 after progressing through the youth ranks at Standard Liege.

But the Belgian youngster has found first-team opportunities hard to come by and he spent last season on loan at NEC Nijmegen.
Last season Vermijl's agent Tony Dullers hit out at United and hinted his client may be on his way.
Duller said: "He is under contract at Manchester United until June 2015 but much will depend on the situation of David Moyes.
“If the manager stays, then it does not look good because he let Marnick go quite easily to NEC. If Moyes is sacked, it may open greater chances [at United].

“At Manchester United, they are very happy with his development. They want Marnick to work at a better club next season but another loan is not ideal.
"He will either get his chance in the first team, or move on permanently.”
Moyes was given the boot after 10 months in charge but Vermijl hasn't got a look-in under Louis van Gaal.
He has never played a Premier League game and will leave with just two League Cup appearances to his name.
