Arsenal target Karim Benzema "1,000 per cent" certain to stay with Real Madrid, claims agent

Real boss Rafa Benitez also insisted "I’m sure he will stay with us," following speculation linking the Frenchman with the Gunners

Karim Benzema will snub a move to Arsenal after both Rafa Benitez and his agent revealed he is set to stay at Real Madrid.

It has been reported that Gunners boss Arsene Wenger is set to make a a further approach for the striker as he looks to continue his search for a brand new big name front man.

Wenger has been a big fan of the Frenchman and has tried to bring him in on numerous occasions during the past three years.

But he looks set to lose out on his man once again this summer.

Following Real Madrid's dominant 4-1 win over Manchester City on Friday, Benitez told reporters that he does not expect him to leave.

He said: "People are asking me about different players that maybe we will buy and I always say the same: 'He’s not our player and I won’t talk about that'.

"In this case, Karim is our player so I won’t talk about that. I’m sure he will stay with us."

The man who would have been behind a potential move, Benzema's agent Karim Djaziri, says that there is no chance that Benzema will leave Real Madrid this summer.

Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "Karim is very happy at Real Madrid and he will be a Real Madrid player by the end of this transfer window, 1,000 per cent.

"Karim is not looking to move anywhere this summer."
