Cristiano Ronaldo equals Raul's Real Madrid scoring record on historic night in Sweden

Cristiano Ronaldo shoots to score

Cristiano Ronaldo drew level with Raul as the top goalscorer in Real Madrid's history on a historic night for the Portuguese forward in Sweden.

Playing against Malmo in the Champions League, Ronaldo scored his 500th career goal for club and country in the 29th minute.
It looked as if it would be the only strike in the game, before he doubled his tally at the death, following a red card for Malmo's Yoshimar Yotun.
The goals took him to 323 in Real Madrid colours, drawing him level with Raul
His first came after a fine pass from Isco, before James Rodriguez supplied him for his brace.
They were his 81st and 82nd strikes in the Champions League, pulling him further clear of Lionel Messi as the top scorer in the competition's history.
The result put Real Madrid top of Group A, level on six points with Paris Saint-Germain. Malmo and Shakhtar are both pointless after two matchdays.
