Florentino Perez claims Sergio Ramos never came close to joining United in the summer.
The Spanish defender went into the transfer with just 12 months remaining on his contract and made it clear he was keen on a move to Old Trafford.
However, he made a U-turn last month and signed a new contract in Madrid keeping him at the club until 2020.
"Ramos never wanted to leave Madrid and Madrid never wanted him to leave", Perez told Cadena COPE. "It took us five minutes to fix it."
